Write it down and Tell someone!

I've always been taught that when you make a goal for yourself, you should: "write it down and tell someone" so you'll have a better chance of accomplishing that goal. Today, I'm writing it down and telling all of you one of our goals for the summer. Zeke and I need to save $1,800.00 by August 20th for his Fall tuition. We had over $2,000.00 in savings from our tax returns in February, but that was quickly gobbled up by replacing the rear brakes on the van, a new dishwasher, and medical expenses for all of us in one way or another. So the game is on! Here we go! I'll keep track of our progress....

Okay! I'm just rambling!! I love how you want to save up your money and tell people about it. You can DO IT!!! You are doing what you should and Heavenly Father will bless you for it :) See you soon!!!!

  3. I can't believe how hard it seems to save up for something-- there's ALWAYS something sucking you dry. Good luck!

And I feel so honored I"m on your blog roll. ;)

  5. A good book to read, at least I enjoyed it. Total Money makeover by Dave Ramsey. You could borrow mine since purchasing extra stuff right now is only going to slow the process :)

  6. UPDATE on our Tuition Savings!!! We checked into taking out some of Zeke's mutual fund at work (I know, but we're desperate) AND his company allows employees to borrow up to half of their own fund and pay it back over 5 years with NO interest! YEP! You read that right.... ok, coincidence, I think NOT! "A coincidence is simply a small miracle in which God chooses to remain anonymous." -- Jeffrey R. Holland

So, that means $1,300.00 down and only $500 to go.... it's really going to happen!
